Soooo....Depressed

I'm so depressed (hence the title), I've recently been accepted to the University of Utah and so I went to a councilor to see what steps I needed to take to reach my goals. I received my associates at the LDS Business College and figured I'd never look back, but the councilor said I should probably go back and take a couple of classes over again so I can bring my transfer GPA up. I blame Nate for this, if he wouldn't have distracted me with marriage proposals and his charms, I would still have the 3.75 GPA I had worked so hard on (I'm not even going to tell you want it is now...). So, now it looks like I'll be back at the BC for another one or two semesters. I know it doesn't sound that bad but I thought I was further along in school but after going over all the requirements for a Finance degree, I have been a little bit deterred. But, I'll get over it, what choice do I have?
Nate has a new line that he likes to use, I would like to share it with you at this time:
"That stinks like the butt of a second hand suit."
He's pretty proud of himself for making that up. His dad asked how Nate knew what the butt of a second hand suit smelled like, Nate has yet to get back to us to answer that question. I've always wondered why Nate loves going to the thrift store sooo much he always says he's looking for books, now it's all starting to fall into place...
He went to the doctor today, he has a cold and a note saying he shouldn't go into work until Monday (I asked if I could borrow his note) so he went home to lay down and nurse his cold with 3 for a $1 (candy bars) and mt. dew. We were suppose to start a diet on April 1st, so I'm eating an apple and Nate says he needs chocolate and mt. dew to help his cold. He thinks I fell for that, but I just don't want to argue with him or take his candy away (I'll lose a finger if I try).

Sorry about the bad news about school. But more learning is never a bad thing, right? (that was the most comforting thing I could come up with)
Thanks for swinging by my blog. Nate always did have my heart. (but not in a scary, kookie, I'm going to stalk you way) Again, I'm just so happy for y'all.

never get between a Judd and his/her chocolate!Never! When Nate lived with us I could hide chocolate in our home in very good hiding places and he could always find it. His ability is in his genes. The Judd line carries a sweet tooth for chocolate.Haley where is the picture on the top of your blog (location) it is beautiful. I'm sorry about the school situation. love you.

Sorry about school and as for Nate. That man loves junk food and always has. My favorite story is what he once did for a cheese burger. It involves Tighty Whities and a cowboy hat.

i was witness to the tighty whities and the cowboy hat incident. it was as awesome as it sounds. especially when our well respected neighbors pulled into their driveway, shining the headlights in Nate's direction. all i could see was a very skinny silhouette running in a cowboy hat. it was awesome. but, hey. who wouldn't do that for a cheeseburger, you know? Haley, don't worry. i know you feel like you are back-tracking in school, but in the end, you will see what a good choice it was to stick with the BC for a little while longer. it'll go by in no time. and i'm proud of you for moving forward. i'm sorry i didn't call you this week, i've been stressing over Darby, so i'll have to resume our calls next week. forgive me! i have been thinking of you, though. and as far as Nate's new clever saying and from where he got that information, i just hope he didn't figure out the smell at the same time he created the disappearing thumb trick. Nate, never disappear your own thumb into someone else's chonies. that is just my number one rule. i love you!

and Haley. Frankie and i were talking about that counselor. we decided that he can kiss your butt. you don't have to go back to lds bc if you don't want to, work on your gpa at the university. that counselor just saw that you wear a wedding band and he was just trying to get you out of his life so that he could get over you.

If you've already been accepted to the college, why should you need to bring up your GPA? I always stressed over my GPA in college, but it really doesn't count for everything. It just depends if you want to wear special tassels at graduation. Most employers seem to be concerned with the degree more than the GPA. I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to bring it up, but I wouldn't stress over it that much. Why can't you re-take similar classes at UofU?

Sorry about the gpa. I'm in the same boat. I have never liked school. I thought when I became an adult and went back I would be more disciplined. Apparently that's something you have to work at.

Wait- if you've already been accepted what does it matter what your transfer gpa is? If it doesn't cost more just to go to the U instead of going back to LDSBC I would just start at the U and just work to bring the gpa up now. I don't think there's any reason to back track! Hitch your wagon to a star, Haley Beth!
