And now, we can talk about a horse for me. Those of you who are bored, I warned you, you can leave now and I won't feel bad...
I want a nice little quarter horse or quarter horse cross. I went to a rodeo last week and remembered how much I love the barrel racing. So I've decided that I want a barrel horse. If you don't know what barrel racing is, please let me enlighten you. Barrel racing is when a horse and rider race around three barrels trying to make the best time. If you knock over a barrel, you get an extra time penalty.
Here is a diagram of the barrel course, it's a blast and such a rush, especially if your horse loves the racing as much as you do.
Speaking of rodeo, if there is a local rodeo where you are living, go to it. I think one of the funniest things I've ever seen is the mutton bustin' at the local rodeo. Let me explain mutton bustin' to you: This is for kids between 3-6, their parents ask them if they want to ride a sheep. Of course the kid says yes (as they're thinking "whats a sheep again?). The poor unsuspecting kid is plopped on the back of a stinky, white sheep and instruted to hold on tight. The kid wrapps their arms around the sheep and grabs two big handfuls of wool waiting for their parent to lead the sheep around the arena. But the what really happpens is the cruel parents open a gate and the sheep runs like the wind, zigging and zagging, trying to get the kid off it's back. Most kids last about 2 seconds. A few dedicated ones (like the one pictured) will hold on no matter what even if they're riding side saddle. Here's the kicker though, when a parent asks their kid if they want to ride the sheep, the parent doesn't ask if the kid wants fall off the sheep. Kids don't think of riding a sheep and wonder how'll they'll get off. So, when the kid falls off the sheep, they immediatly start crying because they weren't expecting the the mouth of manure. My little cousin, Porter, competed in the mutton bustin' at the state fair last year. He came in 2nd, he was really mad because the 1st place winner was a little girl, and she won a bike. He only got a stupid ribbon. Try it, and if you have a kid between 3-6 let them give mutton bustin' a try, who knows, they might be the next Lane Frost.

I love the mutton bustin! I can't believe you're converting Nate into a cowboy. That horse looks too girly for him, with its long, curly hair. Aren't you a little rusty for barrel racing?
